The terms of the fellowship.
These terms concern The Dan Herbatschek Fellowship at Ramsey Theory Group.
What is awarded, and on what basis.
The award
The fellowship is awarded for a single 12-month term. There is no renewal; the fellowship does not offer a second term. The award is a single allocation, published on the program pages, and whether that figure is stated as an exact amount or as a ceiling is still being finalized. Payment schedule and the handling of the allocation will be set out in the award letter.
Intellectual property remains yours.
Your work
The sponsor claims no intellectual property in work produced during the fellowship. No assignment of rights is required as a condition of the award. Fellows are asked to publish one public research output during the year and to acknowledge the fellowship in it; acknowledgement is not a transfer of rights.
No employment relationship.
The Circuit
Participation in the Circuit does not create an employment relationship, and it ends when the fellowship year ends. The Circuit is a component of the award rather than a service performed in exchange for it. Fellows are under no obligation to seek or accept work with the sponsor or any affiliated entity, during the year or after it.

What is expected
A Fellow is expected to continue satisfying the fellowship's eligibility requirements throughout the term, to produce one public research output during the year, to participate in the Circuit as scheduled, and to represent their work honestly. Research that does not yield the hoped-for result still satisfies the output expectation when it is reported honestly.
How these terms may change.
Changes and disputes
Terms may be amended between application cycles. Amendments will not reduce the award of a Fellow already selected under an earlier set of terms. The governing law, the venue for disputes, and the process for withdrawing or revoking an award will be specified by counsel before this page is cleared.
